Charts & Drawing objects

Shapes, pictures, charts, form controls and OLE objects are drawings. They are placed on top of the worksheet and are added, read and removed through the Drawings property of the ExcelWorksheet class. In-cell pictures and sparklines are different: they are part of the cells themselves.

  • Shapes - Add and format any of the 187 shape types, such as text boxes and arrows.
  • Pictures - Add pictures from a file or a stream, read and remove existing pictures, and work with the ExcelImage class.
  • In-cell pictures - Place images inside cells, from local files or downloaded by the IMAGE function (EPPlus 8 and later).
  • Charts - Create, change and remove all Excel chart types, with modern chart styling and chart templates.
  • Form Controls - Add buttons, drop-downs, list boxes, check boxes and other form controls, linked to a cell or a macro.
  • OLE Objects - Embed or link files as OLE objects, and read, copy, extract or remove them.
  • Sparklines - Add small line, column and win/loss charts inside cells.
  • Copy Drawings - Copy a drawing within a worksheet, to another worksheet or to another workbook.
