# Versions Since version 5, EPPlus has been developed extensively, with major improvements in quality, architecture and functionality. This section describes how EPPlus is versioned and released, and what has changed between major versions in a way that can affect existing code. When you upgrade, read the breaking changes for the version you upgrade to and for every major version in between. - [Releases/versioning]() - How EPPlus versions are numbered and released. - [Breaking Changes in EPPlus 5]() - The worksheets collection is zero-based in .NET Framework (as in .NET Core), types have moved from the global namespace, and there are changes in styles, named ranges, drawings, charts, the formula parser and pivot tables. - [Breaking Changes in EPPlus 6]() - The .NET 4.0 and 4.5 targets are replaced by .NET 4.5.2, the dependency on `System.Drawing.Common` is removed from the public API, images are handled by the new `ExcelImage` class, and several formula calculation classes are now internal. - [Breaking Changes in EPPlus 7]() - The new formula parser requires custom functions inheriting from `ExcelFunction` to be reviewed.
